vpod.tv CEO Ivan Communod will be attending MobileMonday in Paris today, catching up with William Sylvestre, Emilie Mazin, Stanislas De Villelongue, and Jonathan Karp. The topic for the discussion is “Samsung’s Multi-OS Strategy: Bada and Android, a gigantic combination.” Seeing that Samsung has just released the 2.0 version of Bada, opening the platform up even more to developers this should be an exciting panel.

Our new MultiView player, which enables live streaming of up to three distinct live or on demand video streams, has been selected in the Best Streaming Innovation category. New Offices in CLAID Madrid

vpod.tv has moved our offices to the new technology incubator located near the University of Madrid (UAM). The building, which was build to be on the cutting edge of environmentally friendly building practices is a part of the Parque Científico de Madrid, a research and development fund that offers office space, access to funding, and networking opportunities among the resident companies. Best of all, there is a bike coop so those of us who commute by train can bike from the station to our offices if they choose.

A quick comment from 2011… We were contemplating whether or not to migrate our old blog posts when we relaunched the new site. After looking through a good deal of them we decided to vote in favor of nostalgia… there are a lot of fond memories back in those posts… so from this message back we just back two years to the vpod.tv from 2009… There may be some outdated links and missing graphics but otherwise it serves as a timeline for where we’ve come. Enjoy!

After 2007 and 2008, we are proud to be again partners of the industry’s leading event on media, the Monaco Media Forum. As a company, vpod.tv has been discussing the evolution of online media and presenting at the MMF every year since 2006.

The new site of the forum is just online, with technology from vpod.tv partners SixApart (MovableType software for content management) and amiando (leading global solution for event management and ticketing).
